The short version: the 3D PrintVault application collects nothing and transmits nothing. It has no account system and no telemetry. The only personal data we ever hold is what you give us when you buy it or email us — your name and email address.

This policy explains what personal data Philaform3DSD LLC ("we", "us") collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the 3D PrintVault software, this website, and buying and supporting the product.

1. The software collects nothing

This is the part most people are asking about, so it comes first.

  • No account, no sign-in. 3D PrintVault has no user accounts.
  • No telemetry or analytics. It does not record how you use it and does not report anything to us.
  • No update check. It does not phone home on launch or at any other time.
  • Your files never leave your machine. Models, thumbnails, print counts, tags, queue and journal all live in a folder and a database file on your own disk.

3D PrintVault runs a local web server bound to 127.0.0.1 — your loopback address — and displays its interface in your browser. That server is not reachable from your local network, let alone the internet. The application works identically with no internet connection at all, which is the simplest way to verify all of the above for yourself.

The one place 3D PrintVault reads data that originated elsewhere is source-link recovery: it reads the download URL Windows already recorded in a file's own metadata and stores it locally alongside the model. Nothing is fetched and nothing is sent.

2. What we collect, and when

When you buy 3D PrintVault

Checkout is handled by our third-party payment provider. To complete a purchase and meet our legal obligations we receive and hold:

  • Your name and email address;
  • Your order number, the amount paid and the date;
  • Your country, and any tax identifier you supply, for tax purposes;
  • The license key issued to you.

We never receive your full card number. Card details go directly to the payment provider, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We may see the last four digits and card type on a receipt, nothing more.

When you contact us

If you email support we hold your email address and whatever you write to us, so we can answer you and refer back to the conversation if you write again.

Please do not send us your model files. We don't need them. If a file is genuinely required to reproduce a bug we will ask, it will be your choice, and we will delete it once the issue is resolved.

When you visit this website

This site sets no tracking cookies and embeds no third-party advertising or analytics scripts. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, page requested, timestamp, browser user agent — which are used for security and to keep the site running, and are retained for a short period.

If you follow a link to our payment provider's checkout, that provider's own privacy policy and cookies apply on their pages.

3. Why we process it, and on what basis

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling. We will only email you about something other than your order or your question if you have separately asked us to.

4. Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to actually run this:

  • Our payment provider — to take payment and issue receipts and refunds;
  • Our email provider — to deliver your license and reply to you;
  • Our hosting provider — to serve this website;
  • Our accountant and tax authorities — where the law requires it.

These providers process data on our instructions under their own contractual and security obligations. Some may be located outside your country, in which case transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

We may also disclose data where legally compelled to, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

5. How long we keep it

  • Order and license records — for as long as your license is valid, and thereafter as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically 6–7 years).
  • Support correspondence — up to 3 years, so we have context if you write again.
  • Server logs — a short period, typically no more than 90 days.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy;
  • Have inaccurate data corrected;
  • Have your data deleted, where we have no overriding legal obligation to keep it;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Receive your data in a portable format;
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these, email support@3dprintvault.app. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.

Note that we can only act on data we actually hold — which is your purchase and support records. We hold nothing about how you use the software, because it doesn't report anything to us.

7. Security

We keep the personal data we hold to the minimum necessary, store it with reputable providers, and restrict access to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but the most effective protection here is structural: the smallest amount of data is the data we never collected in the first place.

8. Children

3D PrintVault is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting how we handle data we already hold will be notified by email to affected customers.

10. Contact
